Enchoptera apicalis

Wasp Mimicking Longicorn Beetle, Enchoptera apicalis – the genus was erected for cerambycids very similar to Macrones, being slender bodied and with round eyes, but differing by the generally longer and smoother thorax and the longer ‘muzzle’ that tapers gradually. Two Australian species are described with only E. apicalis known to occur in Tasmania.
