Chloromerus differs from Chlorops by the hind femora possessing one or two ventral series of small spines on low ridges in the apical halves, and these femora being at least slightly thicker than the mid and fore pairs. The hind tibiae have a ventral ridge on the basal halves, and usually are somewhat bent in the basal halves so as to fit tightly against the femora.
