Chaetocoelopa sydneyensis – has frons slightly produced forward between the eyes, the vibrassal region (above oral aperture) well produced, with face between deeply concave. The thorax and scutellum elongate, the latter rounded apically. Medially on the mesonotum there is a close pair of whitish dusted longitudinal stripes. Large males have the mid leg basitarsi (1st tarsal segment) elongated, being as long as the remaining tarsal segments, and adorned with thick hairing.
