Drosophila (Drosophila) repleta-Group

The repleta-species-group is notable for the dorsally spotted thorax, the spots generally occurring where the bristles arise. For Australia this includes Drosophila buzzatii, D. aldrichi, D. hydei, and D. repleta. All are introduced with the latter two cosmopolitan. Only D. repleta is currently listed for Tasmania.
