Meiosimyza lineata is where we end with the old key (Malloch 1928, as Sapromyza bicoloripes), and the description (Malloch 1926, P.38) seems a good match, the principle difference being the dusting on the thorax here is yellowish as opposed to greyish-white, the latter seen in the Victorian sightings.
