Helina collessi

This species is notable for having three dark clouds on the wings – one along the inner and outer crossveins, and another lying close to vein R4+5 half way along cell r4+5. The body is black with dense whitish pruinescence. Femora and tibiae are yellowish, with the tarsi darker. The haltere knobs are yellowish. The antennae are black and the arista are not noticeably plumose. There are 3 pairs of postsutural dorsocentral bristles and no well developed presutural acrostichal bristles. Bodylength around 5mm.
