Genus Biroina (=Howickia)

The single described Tasmanian species, B. dodo, is a flightless species. However there appears to be at least B. myrmecophila, a mainland species which is fully winged .

Most likely a species of Howickia/Biroina
“It’s probably not Leptocera (the scutellum doesn’t look like its got extra bristles but its hard to say for sure, and there looks to only be one pairs of dorsocentral bristles). It’s most likely a species of Howickia/Biroina since the female have telescopic terminalia, R2+3 is sinuate, and there is a proximal, posterodorsal bristle on the mid tibia.
