Rutilia (Chrysorutilia) splendida-decora-cryptica complex

The Rutilia (Chrysorutilia) splendida-decora-cryptica species complex includes species with variable, and overlapping, colour and pattern. The species have the head largely orange including antennae, the post orbits contrasting silver, the anepisternum (mesopleuron) with a conspicuous white spot, and thorax and abdomen dark with lighter metallic pattern. The pattern on the abdomen, especially tergite four (third visible segment), varies greatly from small spots to bands.
