Heteropsilopus brevicornis – has largely yellow legs (excluding tarsi), the thoracic metallic dorsum covered with brownish pruinescence, the mesoscutal long acrostichal bristle (irregular) pairs number five or six, and typically entirely yellowish antennae and wings with markings restricted to clouding over outer crossvein and M1 (section immediately prior to bend). Coastal habitats appear to be favoured by this species, though will also be found inland. The antennae are typically entirely red-yellow, but Bickel (1994) does mention inland females that have been collected on the mainland with brown first flagellomere (last segment). Females can also lack the clouding on the wings.
