Keroplatidae Larvae

Keroplatidae larvae exhibit broad biology. Some genera are typical ‘fungus gnat’ fungus feeders, while other genera are primarily predaceous. For Tasmania, the latter includes the bioluminescent Tasmanian cave glowworm (Arachnocampa tasmaniensis), Macrocera spp., and the unusual Tasmanian land planarian parasitoid, Planarivora insignis.
