Membracidae (Horned Treehoppers)

Australia has two subfamilies.
Subfamily Membracinae
Contains only a single species (Aconophora compressa) which was released in Australia in 1995 to control Lantana.  This species is not present in Tasmania.

Subfamily Centrotinae
Contains 36 species in Australia.
