Callibracon capitator has a reddish head, all black thorax, and gaster with large white membranous regions either side early and the later segments banded white. The wings are dark and the females have their ovipositors just longer than their abdomen. <href=”https://tasmanianinsectfieldguide.com/callibracon-limbatus”>C. limbatus is a similar looking species but with minor differences which are briefly described on the respective species page.
