Anthela nicothoe Caterpillar being attacked by a Glossy Shield bug.  They were separated and the huge caterpillar (which wasn’t photographed in time!) collected to see if it would pupate

October 21, The caterpillar had started spinning a cocoon overnight (Before there had been time to take photos of the caterpillar!!)

The finished cocoon October 21, 6cm. Note that it had inserted its hairs across the entire surface of the cocoon.
