Genus Trichiocerus

Sparshall’s Moth, Trichiocerus sparshalli, & T. mesomelas – currently there are two described Trichiocerus species accepted in the AFD, T. mesomelas (Walker, 1855) and T. sparshalli (Curtis, 1830). Walker’s species typically has abdomen and head with some black, but he also described varieties lacking black in these areas which included forms largely agreeing with Curtis’ species.
