Find one of these that looks close to the insect you are interested in, and then follow the links to explore the related insects. A warning though, is that many insects in the same scientific order can look really different. You may have to do some hunting until you get a feel for the groupings. Many insects cannot be identified from photo alone. They require specialists to identify often microscopic features of the organism.
